Project Íris
FROM DIGITAL TO SCULPTURE
The creative process always begins with an idea, something that is initially intangible, and in a second step there is an attempt at materialization, the transition from idea to reality...
As a sculptor and architect I worked with traditional processes and materials, and over time, or without it, I began to explore the digital world as an environment for production.Today, almost all of my creations begin to materialize in the digital world,
and only then take physical form.
and only then take physical form.
In this project, the transition from the ideal to the physical was a long research process, first in digital modeling and sculpture and then its materialization using large scale 3D printing.
Technique:
Digital sculpture, printed in a single piece in biodegradable and recyclable PLA
approximate dimensions of the piece:
900mm in diameter
300mm deep
